let's get it

You gotta go to the mountain and shout out your city
You gotta grapple with lions and tackle the bears
Put a muzzle on pit bulls and never be scared

You got to challenge the warrior and dodge his weapon
And if you get caught on the shoulder you will learn a lesson

You have to swim with the seals and eat with the sharks
You need to hunt with the lions alone in the dark

You have to feed the hungry and shower the homeless
And take out the poets and just leave them wordless

There is no challenge no method to madness
No way you can fathom taking me out the outcome

I am the challenger I am the home team this is the homeboy
Protecting his home thing

Don’t be surprise if I face you in a battle I’m wearing warrior paint
And I’m tasing the cattle I do that with a rod you could call me a cattle prod

Cause I’m goading you on if your not off your but yet then please move along
Create you a dance man draw me a picture create me some poetry now you get the picture

With an orginal thought you are the fixture publish the work let it be bought
This is the trap yet I refuse to be caught

I’m no dope dealing hustler I’m no man on parole
I throw deuces to officers and deuces to gangbangers
And if you can freestyle or ride with the ape hangers

Then I’ll be here with the microphone and maybe a helmet
So if you fall off then you’re not considered a failure

And just one more chance for you to follow me now
If it seems that I’m trying to win me a lottery now

That is not the case I am filling the space that you have yet to create
I am fighting the war of ideas the battle for minds
I am on a roll just taking my time

Please don’t count me out
Because even if they knock me down
I am not afraid with rubber I rebound
I am not afraid with rubber I rebound

Which means I redoubled my efforts
Exponentially I come back
You push then I push back

I’m never afraid and I preparing to run back over the glass
Barbwire and thorns
No bull scares me prepare for the horns

I’m in the arms race running ahead
Both of my ears closed I don’t know what you said
I’m in the forefront you won’t push me back
I’m going to the Dam and dare it to crack
I’m going to the ocean and challenge the sea
I’m out on the roof if you looking for me

hiatus

i had to veg out for a second
plus i got sick for about a month i'm just now starting to get back to myself so here is tha poem we will call it hiatus i'm not posting this on my wordpress blog so you will have to follow up there later to see what i post.

HIATUS

The feeling I couldn’t even express it
A poet in convalescence
I had the potential
WordS in my head blowing up exponential

And every word I said I doubted
Man I doubt it

I walked around and I pouted

I wanted to write something
But I kept thinking about it

And my wife wants me to write about it
And I’m all uptight about it

And the more I recede
The less I believe
That those who can read
Will receive
My little poem with relative intrigue

Life is filled with challenges, embrace them
If you meet a challenge as you would a long lost family member
The two of you will find a commonality
You will quickly find that what you fear is a mere reflection of your own self

You can face yourself, you can see truth introspectively
And live your life, the course of which is neither created or destroyed by a stumble

Recovery the ability to recover is a trait found champions
A champion cannot be counted out ever for even in death
His ideals choke out the very utterance of an enemy
The failures of the successful have never out shined their successes
Lest they be considered a failure

Learn what it means to be respectful before you demand respect
A penny saved is a penny earned
But a dollar spent pays the rent

Return a favor with prudence

Wait your turn

If you defend little then the little you defend will be conquered and taken

If you horde anything, you will be hated by those in need

Don’t hide wisdom

Be careful with your questions
And your proofs

Read the instructions, they train your reasoning

Discernment is proof of wisdom
Unfortunately discernment proves a quiet fool wise,
As soon as he speaks it is all undone

You get what you pay for

Try your best

If you trade favors with a person you will come to hate that person

Learn from the mistakes of others

Do things for others
Don’t dwell on the past

Human nature doesn’t change

Don’t be limited by someone else’s fears

Work ahead of others but don’t work ahead of yourself

Know where you are before you leave

Don’t lose sight of the goal

Wait to laugh

Don’t say yes or no those are the two most offensive words in the English language.
Try I agree, that sounds good to me, I would go for that, maybe, what do you think, let me get back to you, I’m not in a position to do that right now, I’d rather not, I think we shouldn’t, I’m going to have to decline.

Don’t accept all gifts

Learn to remember
Learn to tell a story

Take singing lessons
Learn to dance

Drink more water

Travel and meet new people

Learn to run a business
Learn discretion thru use
Learn insight and discernment
Search for knowledge actively despite what you may think, it won’t just come to you

Stay active
Eat right
Lead by example
Be humble
Follow thru

Plan
check the plan
change the plan at will
stick to the plan

situations change the knowledge of this is integral to your success

use the tools you have to build
better tools

build on a solid foundation

remember what you set out to do

take good notes

leave bad people alone

stay away from the use of drugs

recreation is just that
so get back to work

don’t go all the way on break during someone else’s time

stick it out - things do get hard and usually when you think they are hard the challenge has just begun

learn the game

be true to yourself
know yourself thouroughly
know your likes and dislikes
tap into our hidden strengths

I know of a woman that speaks 9 languages fluently
You could open so many doors just by learning one

Memorize something

Family confidential

There were days when I wondered and prayed
Hoped and cried
Didn’t think I would survive
Cause I just couldn’t
And I’m even emotional right now
As I write now begin to write out
I just wanted a family
A fact for sure but my time and ego
Had me so insecure
I wanted the proof that my home team was actually
The components backing me
The factory running like a train
We could all be trained to fall in line
A place where I could rest and trust
Now I thank God and trust
That the best of us is right here
And the vision is so clear
I got my Dad with me for thanksgiving
My mom’s got me focused on my health
Cause my heart might not be as strong as my granddads
I got cousins and at least one that would back me
Even if I’m dead wrong days when I was nothing but headstrong
And now I throw myself into the work headlong
Hoping that my wife can see my vision
I keep scraping a clear path for my kids
And just in case I’m not around to enjoy iah’s smile
I write out the green mile so she can retrace my steps
I’m trying to make Aria seed the best
And Anthony see my dept
So just in case in sleep I rest
They can still feel my heart beat
Their chest

…….so having fear for a moment that I couldn’t control it
that I was losing myself and I’m off of my focus

now I’m back on my grind and I’m putting the work in
and if I was anticipating pain then I’m feeling the hurting

I mean it really is certain that the pain would be coming
But it’s not the one you are expecting so why even worry

You could negotiate a storm don’t be stopped by the flurries
This positive attitude is a so hot that I’m calling it curry

Don’t push it or pull it if you expecting to fall
And if you walking on faith then keep walking tall

If this is your hour your minute your time
If you suppress the anxiety and you ready to shine

Then you can topple a giant and subdue king kong
And you can chase your dream without doing it wrong

And who is to say that by the words of this song
You wont be inspire to just carry on

I want you to be encouraged I want you to take up the fight
The shield is copper and missle is bright

The field is ready and the harvest is white
we can go in as workers working late into the night

we can pull up the weeds and and cut down the jeers
we are coming out of the clouds and into the clears

and when its all said and done and the witness is here
if the words are read aloud then the angels will hear

and then the stars will clap their hands and Gods sons will cheer
and those we thought were gone forever will soon reappear

an the the effects of malice will then disappear
and the truth of prophecy is perfectly clear

if you feel like your small and insignificant
I’m asking did you suppressed your gift again

that’s why the happiness is in giving it
because you hold it in so long you can’t feel the benefit

now don’t suspect me of being degenerate
just because money is gone and all of its spent

I don’t want to get ahead I just want to live to time indefinite
And you could do it too yes its evident

But you have to live your life like your eating the elephant
Make every spoonful count nothings irrelevant ……..
